Crookbond Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 If you want to listen to Ranjith's commentary try this video. Also, amazing innings by Paul Nixon and watch that reverse sweep off Muralitharan. :hatsoff: 2bjtiJj_B5M

Ultimate_Game Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 O.Shah > Bopara It always surprised me that England never gave Shah a decent run. Out of all the folks they have tried - Morgan, Bopara, new kid they had before Bopara replaced him etc. - Owais Shah seems to be better than all of them. Looks like Flower has something against Shah just like he was against Samit Patel due to Patel's fitness which was fair enough. But Shah definitely would be a much better option.

Cricket Tragic Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 The problem with Shah is that he can't bat, run or field. Good player otherwise.
Ultimate_Game Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 The problem with Shah is that he can't bat' date=' run or field. Good player otherwise.[/quote'] I think on sub-continental tracks Shah is one of England's best bats. Much better than the likes of Strauss, Bell, Bopara, Morgan, Bairstow etc.
Number Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 The problem with Shah is that he can't bat' date=' run or field. Good player otherwise.[/quote'] Is he fasting ? :--D
Ultimate_Game Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Is he fasting ? :--D :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Now that's the million dollar question. If he is get him into the team fast :cantstop:
Feed Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Philander keen to stay on upward curve Vernon Philander, South Africa's new-ball seamer, has admitted that he would "definitely be a bit concerned" if he was in the same boots as England's attack ahead of the second Test at Headingley next week. More...
Square Drive Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Yep, that's the one. Ranjit Fernando thought that England had won and started shouting some rubbish in the com box. There is a podcast on SL cricket that use this exciting clip of Ranjith as their title music at the start of every episode.. :--D and they have mixed it up with funny sound effects as well. Poor Ranjith :hysterical:

Cricket Tragic Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 James Taylor in for the 2nd test. RavBop out due to "personal issues". :hmmm:
Crookbond Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 I think England are on the way to lose the second Test here. SA must be licking their lips.
