He was the first person who met Sarad Power after dropped from the team dont know for what reason. Thank god tomorrow my local people will not discuss that "sourav played well,but no one others"(even he score 23 of 22) and today if he do nothing and his team wins then people says "what a captain,sahrukh may be crying today." like that. and pls dont occupy a ranji cricketers spot next year(where das even dont get chance) you have nothing to prove............... Das doesn't get a Ranji spot since his domestic performances are rubbish.

The other idiots could not even average 23. No point of Das playing in the Ranjis if he cannot even average 30. On the other hand, Ganguly helped someone like Anustup Majumdar find his feet and do exceptionally well for himself and the state.

Pace bowlers did relatively well in the next 2 overs. Particularly, Sangakara, a left hander was on fire. Kartik, a left arm spinner wasn't really a good idea. So Ganguly tried to use his medium pace. Of course, the strategy didn't work. The real problem with the Pune side is the lack of bowling options. When Dinda was in the side, he used to choke runs compensating other run leaking bowlers. With Dinda gone and all bowlers leaking runs, there is lack of bowling options where ganguly is trying to fit in

He might have played one or two balls more than he should have played, but that hardly made a difference. At no. 3 and being a senior player, he is supposed to play anchor innings. He played that role y'day. But Utthappa's role is not play such innings. He is in the team to play explosive innings. Clearly, he is not doing that leading to loss in the matches

Ganguly should have at least scored 60 off 40 deliveries. We lost by 13 runs, and I 'guess' if Smith would have come before Ganguly and made use of the powerplays, we would have not lost the game. It's another matter than Uthappa's tuk-tuk batting since the T20I against SA has become a pain. He's really become a liability doing nothing.

Manish Pandey is comparatively a better bet. Uthappa used to be this awesome slogger who could hit the ball out of the park with amazing ease during the death overs. Where is that Uthappa? :hitler:

I guess you guys would be the first to give credit to Ganguly if India does well because all players were his find.

Same thing happening with PWI too. You'll have few under performing players. Look KKR is winning more matches even when Uchup is sucking. KKR took some hard decisions few years back. PWI has to learn from them...

What if Smith gets out early or a modest 40 off 20 innings? Who else the team has in its middle/lower order to take the team home? Utthappam? Ganguly? Samuels? Manhas? These players can't be finishers. Smith is the genuine finisher in the team. You may blame me for having bias for dada, but even from cricketing logic, Ganguly batting at no. 3 makes sense with the current setup. And as long as he scores at SR 110+, there should be no problem

PWI has to learn from them... Haha! Why Ganguly was the highest run scorer for KKR in all the 3 seasons he played? Because KKR didn't have a good team and it was heavily depended on ganguly. Give a basic research and check IPL 2008, 2009 and 2010 results of KKR. 60% of the matches they won were due to Ganguly. The team lacked quality Indian players and its foreign players were no firing beyond their first match (McCullum, Akhtar, Umar Gul etc.)

And as long as he scores at SR 110+, there should be no problem You only have 20 overs in T20. You don't expect a batsmen to come and start hitting from ball one and no one can do that. That is why you give your best batsmen most overs to play. They were lucky to win against DD at Kotla in a same scenario where Ganguly scored at 110 SR and consumed balls, but for their good fortune Smith clicked in the end and scored 39 runs in just 13 balls, but it happens once in a blue moon.
