Suprised by Monto' date=' did not expect much from him as trequartista. Italy do need a good striker though, they are really missing Rossi. Di Natale could play but in whos place, I didnt think Cassano was exceptional. At least Balo offers strength and holding the ball up front[/quote'] Montolivo played really well last night and justified his selection. I personally think it is criminal that Di Natale is not in the team. Cassano had barely returned from a stroke when the domestic season ended whereas Di Natale has been scoring goals for fun in the last 5 seasons. In my opinion, Di Natale should be the 1st choice striker with one of Balotelli or Cassano partnering him. Cassano chose the wrong option almost every time he got into an attacking position last night while Balotelli caused England problems but could not finish for ****. John Terry played well for England. In the last 6 months, Joe Hart has proved he is still some way off world class. He has not looked that convincing in this tournament.

england nowadays are playing pussy football, they are getting bossed by other teams almost in every match, they themselves do not take the initiative to go for goal, they play the waiting game...with wilshere,ox,cleverly, walcott, jones coming up, they need to get selceted in regular sides more often so that they are more in possession, approach a dominant style of football... england were soo good under errikson with beckham, scholes, owen, they dominated in most games, they need to get to that level at least or almost all the teams will knock em out

Cassano was not bad yesterday, thing is he didn't get as many chances as Balotelli, he even had a good long range shot which was on target but fended off by Hart. Commies were telling that he was the top scorer in the qualifiers may be that's why he's in the team.

Italy had more possession and better scoring chances than England and in the end...the team that should have won. England actually got the lead in the penalty shots and blew it...always thought that Buffon would save atleast one.. England/Germany would have been nice nevertheless a strong Italy team goes forward.

Cassano improved towards the end of the half but that was his worst performance in the Euro's. He was excellent for them in the qualifying campaign but has since had a stroke and is clearly still not fully fit. Di Natale has been class for years but because he plays for Udinese he has never got a fair crack at the whip.

Ronaldo will lead Portugal to victory today. Great players do well against great teams.
spain will man mark him ,he will not get space as he did against holland .But spain have a problem u front with out villa they lack the finisher and playing 4-6-0 may coem back to bite them.

But tbh when Czech used the same approach, they couldn't succeed to do it for whole 90mins. The only goal Ronaldo made just 10min before final whistle, its very hard to stop this genius. IMO with scoring performance at front, if Spain can hold Ronaldo for making multiple goals, they will win this easily here.
