West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Smith will join the Mumbai Indians squad on Thursday as a replacement for Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson. The Australian fast bowler was ruled out to play IPL by Cricket Australia due to a foot injury that he had sustained in November last year. Since then he has not played for the Australian team. During the IPL auction, Mumbai Indians had bought him for $300000. Smith, on the other hand, had remained unsold in the auction with a base price of $100000. He had started his IPL career with Mumbai in 2008. In 2009 he was taken by the Deccan Chargers.
thank you Mumbai :isalute:

Faillard is injured and Dw Smith is a better overall player compared to Levi & Franklin.
Yes, but MI would continue playing Franklin. They can try Gibbs/Jacobs instead of Levi at the top. When did Pollard get injured?

Smith is a good buy. He got a century in BPL and a couple of 50s. HE also did well in a recent T20 Match against Oz A good batsman to have in the middle order. Destructive against spinner. And also provide good pace bowling :)
