straighttalk Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I genuinely believe the most blinded supporters of Didi would struggle to come up with that kind of defence What Ram pointed out is actually very true...she is one of the cleanest politician around, lives in a shanty (almost slum like), her dress speaks off her simple taste... i believe that her heart is in the right place. but the fact remains she is being very insecure and for that making stupid statements which are undermining her position. she used to get away with those when she was in the opposition but now as CM...she needs to project a different personality... until now...all the incidents have been minor and are more comical rather than serious... in my opininon, when election time comes,, she won't be judged for these gaffes but rather on the economic situation in WB, law and order etc. in her one year in power, she has managed to achieve some of the objectives..namely the Gorkhaland issue, some peace initiatives with the Maoists...but a lot remains to be done in the industrial sector and the inefficient government bureaucracy.
