The deal, which is for three years and awarded by the Department of Corrections in New Zealand, involves developing IT infrastructure for the prison system and applications for maintaining inmates' profiles. The deal will have a 60% offshore component. As part of the deal, HCL's Noida centre will also monitor offenders convicted for crimes like rash driving.
