bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 He never mentioned that he had asked Modi to come in Dhoti..!! and then to make those pictures public. I don't think he mentioned not to come either.
bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 On the controversy related to his refusal to wear a skull cap offered by a Muslim cleric a few years back, Modi said, "If wearing a cap were to be seen as a symbol of unity, then I never saw Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel or Pt Jawaharlal Nehru wearing such caps."
Raghav_12 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Your typical generalization starts as usual, Religion is because no reason for a Hindu to wear Muslim skull cap. Only way is either tokenism or they just felt make the host happy. Only Tamilians wear Dhoti :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: There is no reason for a North Indian to wear a Dhoti if he doesn't wear otherwise. Many other groups/people other then Tamilinas wear Dhoti but Modi is not one of them. You can't deny without being mocked at that Modi is indulging in tokenism here. You are all at your liberty to cook specious arguments.
bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Modi had a rally earlier in TN , did he wore Lungi or Dhoti there?
bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 There is no reason for a North Indian to wear a Dhoti if he doesn't wear otherwise. You are all at your liberty to cook specious arguments. But you never said how wearing a dhoti will fetch votes :dontknow: Even in Mangalore people wear Dhoti for functions, are they going to vote BJP because Modi wore a Dhoti in Tamil nadu? Did Modi wore a lungi during his rally in TN?
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Rajni doesn't have a political voice in TN. He had the chance in the late 90s but couldn't make the right moves. Plus this is futile. He won't make any political pronouncements because his movie is getting released on May 9th. Last time Kamal Hassan gave a statement that he would like Chidambaram to be PM, Amma blocked his movie Vishwaroopam's release in TN for more than 10 days. In TN politics there are repercussions for such endorsements :giggle: One comedian (Vadivelu) supported DMK and dissed AIADMK and Gaptain's party during the 2011 elections. He hasn't worked in even a single movie after that seeing the kind of influence filmstars have in South India, this isn't surprising...though it is quite weird.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 He wore a dhoti in a house ' date=' not like how Kejri wear's skull cap in functions :dontknow:[/quote'] you've been twisting and turning your statements for an hour now. Must be tired - ab sone jaao :giggle:
bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 seeing the kind of influence filmstars have in South India' date=' this isn't surprising...though it is quite weird.[/quote'] Those days are gone. Only Rajni left with some clout but even for him time is passed. Even Chiranjeevi is not able to make big in AP & later merged his party with Con party in AP. There are no longer larger than life stars left in South movies.
bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 you've been twisting and turning your statements for an hour now. Must be tired - ab sone jaao :giggle: :dontknow:
urbestfriend Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I guess you read the posts All those caps shown are within Hindu community, except Sikh one [Again its close to Hindu religion]. Who singled out Kejri? SO all these caps of Hindu groups, north-eastern minority group and sikh caps wore by Modi is not for appeasement?
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Those days are gone. Only Rajni left with some clout but even for him time is passed. Even Chiranjeevi is not able to make big in AP & later merged his party with Con party in AP. There are no longer larger than life stars left in South movies. if thats the case then its a change for the better I think.
Raghav_12 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 you've been twisting and turning your statements for an hour now. Must be tired - ab sone jaao :giggle: Following sequence was particularly classic. Ask Rajni why it's published. Kejri came inot picture because he is considered benchmark by some :winky: So what? did Rajni raised any objection for a private photo getting published. If he don't have issue why should we have? Where did I said Rajni posted pictures? .
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 SO all these caps of Hindu groups' date=' north-eastern minority group and sikh caps wore by Modi is not for appeasement?[/quote'] Here are some more :giggle:
bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 SO all these caps of Hindu groups' date=' north-eastern minority group and sikh caps wore by Modi is not for appeasement?[/quote'] How many times I have to say? what's problem in wearing Hindu caps? Sikh religion is closer to Hindu religion, I really don't know about north east minorities :two_thumbs_up:
urbestfriend Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Following sequence was particularly classic. May be he is vying for a seat from Mangalore from BJP in next assembly election..Learning his political lesson in ICF:haha:
ravishingravi Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Cap, dhoti and skull caps. Considering the political discourse, I wonder if education get wasted on lot of us. If this is what educated people discuss don't know what uneducated and illiterate do.
bulbul Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Following sequence was particularly classic. Still no answer for how wearing a dhoti [at least used in 3 states] to Rajnikanth's home will fetch votes due to tokenism
urbestfriend Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 How many times I have to say? what's problem in wearing Hindu caps? Sikh religion is closer to Hindu religion' date=' I really don't know about north east minorities :two_thumbs_up:[/quote'] Are you saying appeasement of Sikh is OK because it is closer to Hindu religion, but Muslims not ok?
Raghav_12 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 How many times I have to say? what's problem in wearing Hindu caps? Sikh religion is closer to Hindu religion' date=' I really don't know about north east minorities :two_thumbs_up:[/quote'] so he'll do something, which he usually doesn't do, to make certain hindu groups happy. But won't do similar thing, a tokenism, to make a groups of muslims happy.
Sachin=GOD Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Cap' date= dhoti and skull caps. Considering the political discourse, I wonder if education get wasted on lot of us. If this is what educated people discuss don't know what uneducated and illiterate do. You may/may not believe it but these things do matter in Indian politics so I don't see anything wrong in discussing about them.
