Cricket Tragic Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Should play with Bangbros just to piss the Pakistanis off.
Dravid_TheWall Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 What a waste of time. Suppose it will allow some of our famed batsmen to get among the runs again and build some confidence (which is fake) again.
Laaloo Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 IF BD does indeed tour us, then we should field our 3rd string team with losers like Sreesanth ( if he's fit OF COURSE) and Dhawan and mooli vijay and company.
King Khan Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Myself and all the bengalis have been waiting for this series a long time! Hope this happens....Getting to play cricket in india is something special....especially when its ur first time There is nothing special about such tour. BCCI will treat these as practice matches & filling the number of matches they owe and for Bangladesh its it a HUGE opertunity, other than Tamim-Shakib they wants to proove their chances to play in IPL; hopefully still some telents left their to perform against India in India. Its very understandable Sahara putting lot of interest in investing in BD recently, with this tour thru their liason will give them gain huge market & Govt. confidence from BD part. IF BD does indeed tour us' date=' then we should field our 3rd string team with losers like Sreesanth ( if he's fit OF COURSE) and Dhawan and mooli vijay and company.[/quote'] :giggle: sure, they can learn & practice some desi sledging as well.
King Khan Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 :--D And have a look of our Bangbros in blue, found on bangla cricket forum.
jairamesh Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 India wouldn't mind playing BD in ODI in any conditions. Bangladesh has played 24 ODIs vs India, winning 3 and losing 21. Loss percentage of 87.5% Overall BD Record in all ODIs including those against Associates -262 played, 72 won, 188 lost and 2 tied. Of these 72 wins, 48 wins have come against Zim, UAE, Kenya, Ireland, Hongkong and Bermuda. Loss percentage 71.75%. In fact Bangladesh shouldn't be playing test cricket anywhere against anyone. Out of 73 tests, BD have won just 3 tests (2 vs WI and 1 vs Zim) , losing 63 and drawing 7. Loss percentage - 86.30 % & win percentage of just 4.10%. Against India BD have played 7 matches, losing 6 and drawing 1. Against the background of such record it is indeed hilarious for BD wanting to play in tough conditions and against tough opposition. Those two might count as wins, but effectively we all know what happened during that series. In reality Bangladesh really only has won one Test match!:headshake: Either they push their players to play in Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan domestic leagues or will struggle to make a name for themselves in Tests. In ODI I think they will come good in the next three to four years.

In ODI I think they will come good in the next three to four years. If you look into series by series results from 2010, you will definately notice a much improved bangladesh side in both tests and odis. At one point almost every test bd played, they lost by an innings. Since 2010 that has hardly been the case. They performed admirably against england in england. No one is suggesting that bd will beat india!! but there were multiple sessions when bd did better than india on the last occassion they played a series in bangladesh. They did implode and lost badly still but the improvement is noticable. It is however a slow process, it takes a whole generation of cricketers to emerge in order to beat a test playing side. 10 years back, all the cricketers that played for bd were hardly professionals and their ultimate goal was to get bd to world cup. Now that generation is replaced by a new one. Without a tendulakar or a dravid to guide them, we still have managed couple of very good players who will probably be picked in any test side. When the next bunch emerges in another 10 years, I have no doubt they will kick some serious @ss. It is a slow process and some may believe that we never deserved the test status.... but if it werent for the test status, we would have never had cricketers like shakib and tamim come up...... 1 mistake however was playing the number of test that we played with that old bunch of guys who hardly had the capability to represent a side at that level.... we should have just sticked to 2 series a year till the shakibs and tamims emerged to replace the oldies...
gaurav92 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 SAHARA replaces Grameen Phone as their Sponsor? :WTF:
Tiger-Don Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 SAHARA replaces Grameen Phone as their Sponsor? :WTF: and sahara probably has something to do in our jerseys turning blue? :nervous:
Texy Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 some people in bangla forum are already crying foul, some even questioning if Sahara will permanently change the jersey color to blue from holy green :haha:...claiming this is the beginning of India's BD takeover  bangalis can be so over the top emotional.

Bdeshpatriot Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 well, its a case of trying to put down a teen kid who's still growing, isn't it?....doesnt matter how many games you play, you need to develop a generation of cricketers that doesnt happen overnight....the kids that are growing up now in u-17s and u-15s have seen bangladesh playing since test cricket, unlike our previous cricketers. the kids that are waiting in the pipeline are going to challenge the other top teams, and its happening for sure, no doubt about that. We'll win test matches for sure, but now, yes, we are not there yet. Anyone who's trying to make a mockery of our test record is surely proving they're smart!
