Re: A Record? - 4 Retirements Must be. Lillee and Rod Marsh both retired after the last test of an Ashes series. I can't think of a third one though.

Re: A Record? - 4 Retirements Sorry correction, this one has occurred before. Greg Chappel, Dennis Lillee and Rod Marsh all retired in 83-84 after a series against Pakistan. Just looked up Dennis Lillee autobiography and it confirms all three retired at the same time.

Re: A Record? - 4 Retirements Don't think so Rajeev. The Aussies then used to be dominant too if not as much as they are right now. After long hard battle and winning a lot the three top class cricketers mentioned above decided to call it a day. When Lillee first expressed the wish to quit, Marsh joined him as well. Chappell toward the end of the series thought he wanted to call it off too and ended up scoring a hundred in the last inning he played.
