King Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 BTW can you post in English? I can bet half the people skip your post the minute you start writing in your own local language. If you aren't fluent enough in English that's fine.
MundaPakistani Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 dear sm332 we shouldnt forget that Malcom Sami and Naved won pakistan ODI seriesr in India by 4-0.Rana was man of the series. i hope u wont feel it offensive. Naved shouldn't even be in the test squad. M Sami, Gul and Asif can lead the attack and have one of the youngsters(anwar ali or Najaf Shah) as the back up for these 3.
King Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Pakistan despite whatever team they will field play out of their skin against India. India vs Pakistan is always a contest to look forward to. This time around it will be no different. I expect nothing less than a close series.
dial_100 Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Long way.. Are we playing any test cricket before that?? If no then yes we look forward to Pak. IMHO, Dravid, YK, Akmal, Akhtar, Jaffy are the ones to look forward to...
Rajiv Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Its a diff ball game v.s Pak in home conditions, ball will stop swinging..batters will rule..kumble will bowl a lot
varun Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Its a diff ball game v.s Pak in home conditions' date=' ball will stop swinging..batters will rule..kumble will bowl a lot[/quote'] We need another spinner.. Bhajji's normally meat and drink for the Pakistanis so I'm a bit apprehensive asking for his recall even though he's done quite nicely in county cricket. Maybe give Murali Kaartik (who's also been doing reasonably well in county cricket) another try ? Goddamn what has happenned to our spinners ? Chawla I feel is too raw and might be slaughtered.
talksport Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Hmmm, We should ask Tendulkar to spend more time in nets and practice Bowling.... Hint Hint for Sehwag
anbuchelvan Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Im sure asif and shoaib wil not take any drug to get cowards out. they will tour india as drugg free coz to beat cowards u dont need drugs what u need is just COURAGE. druggie akhtar will get Sachin out once again and sab moon dekhte reh jaenge. This time akhtar will not tour India because he will be caught dopped like last time.
CC1981 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 My policy about akhtar and asif is simple- they are doping cheats and i'd much rather have India face them and show them the place of cheats rather than throw a hissy fit wanting them to be tossed off the field. I HOPE Shoaib and Asif come. I also hope we prepare pucca spinning pitches and DESTROY these dopers and just play a bit cautiously against Kaneria and maybe Afridi.
MundaPakistani Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 PAK haven't played good test cricket for the last year or so and more worringly they seem to be going from bad to worse. So this seems like the 05 tour where IND were the heavy favorites to win the test series and PAK were the favorites to win the ODIs.
theguyinallblue Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 i don't think Pakistan is any more fav to win ODI as well..... since last 3-4 years..we have played so many games..and i think win/loss ratio is equal.... whats the win-loss in ODIs since our pakistan tour in 2003?

Since the 04 tour the record is Played: 17 PAK won: 10 IND won :7
theguyinallblue Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 how can it be 7? i asked since 2004..when we defeated 3-2 in ODIs.. 9 comes in my straight away..?
Dhondy Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 MP, The sad thing is that Pakistani supporters overrate their team so badly, they are destined to go through vicissitudes such as these. And I am sorry, it's you supporters who are to blame. You guys blame people like Ashraf, but nowhere is fan power more apparent than in Pakistan. You rooted for drug cheats to be rehabilitated. You had your way. One of them developed a delusion of infallibility and went and thumped the other with a bat. You railed against his actions, asked the powers-that-be that he never play cricket again. What happens? The moment you lose a Test match, you ask this grisly character to be restored to national colours because, apparently he is your only hope to win the subcontinental derby against your bitterest rivals. Never mind his record against India. Let's move on. Tell me, which other team in the world boasts a premier batsman that prostitutes himself on the world market to the best bidder? How can you trust this man? How can you celebrate his feats? Do you even realise how he callously hurt his parents and converted to a new religion because he wanted a share of the lucre? The ex-captain, who brazenly patronized his cronies for ages, bullied the juniors into theology, sells out to the merchants across the border. He then shamelessly strikes a deal with the selectors to let him play one more Test so that he can break an iconic record. Of course, he's going to have his cake and eat it too, because he's not giving up on the renegade league, no sir! A shining example for budding youngsters. The captaincy falls vacant. There's the natural choice, the senior player, the best in the team who should take up the responsibility. "Not me, buddy", "I am off to play for Yorkshire." Really, Younis! You win a few matches at home, but lose match after match overseas. Your board fears the wrath of the unforgiving fans and prepares docile, dodo-dead tracks, because they cannot countenance defeats at home. It's a vicious cycle, for the Butts and Iqbals, growing up on such tracks, don't have a clue on the verdant tracks of England or the granite hard surfaces of Australia and South Africa. You give the board and players hell for their failures. They come back and win one match against India. All is forgiven. Aren't you the same lot whose President threw a ticker tape parade after drawing a Test series and winning the one day circus against us? Today your cricket team is in ruins. This is the product of years of obsessing with your neighbours, ignoring the virtues of graft and hard work, and trying to take short cuts such as bottle tops and nandrolone instead, destroying the rule of law and practicing shameless hypocrisy with official statements like "We have a zero tolerance policy against dope offenders", while your scribes and forum leaders rail against an immature Indian boy who plays honest cricket but has never harmed, nor hurt anybody, but gives it back to the very same people who made life a misery for you through their gamesmanship, but who, your cohorts had neither the skills, nor the courage to repudiate. You deserve your mess. And do you know what the saddest bit is? You'll win one Test in December against your neighbours, and zannat will descend on earth again. Pakistan will suddenly be the best team in the world, the bitter humiliation of numerous defeats forgotten, and there will be a red carpet across the broadways of Islamabad. Hallelujah! BTW MP, what I write here is not meant for you, but generically for Pakistani fans, so please don't take it personally. I have a lot of respect for you. You are an exceptional person, and I'd hate to hurt you.
Predator_05 Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 how can it be 7?? It isn't. Since the '04 tour; Pakistan have won 12 matches - 2 in the '04 series, 1 in the Asia Cup, 1 in the Videocon, 1 in the ICCT, 1 in Platinum Jubilee, 4 in the '05 series, 1 in the '06 series, 1 in Abu Dhabi. India have also won 12 matches - 3 in the '04 series, 2 in the '05 series, 4 in the '06 series, 1 in Abu Dhabi and 2 at the Twenty20 World Cup. Dead even.
