Bumping this thread. After the 1st test debacle, not only was our batting a major flop, but we also couldn't finish the tail. ZK and Umesh lacked support and also didn't have that killer instinct to take them down, with Ishant proving "unlucky" or however you may wish to term it. Can't wait until this Indian hero returns from injury to rectify our bowling problems. Will also inject some much needed aggression into a deflated outfit. When you bowl at pace with regular swing, forget tail enders, top batsmen will struggle.

Like I said, swing with pace will be too much for tail. Pattison and co have grown up facing Ishant pace with nominal bounce, it is not an issue for them. What anyone struggles to face is pace with movement. These qualities are rare and that is where the Kerala Express is in a league of his own. That's why Steyn and Anderson do well v tail.

Tell me something about Ishant in last 4 years apart from WI series overseas. At least Sree has done well against the best and he will be back because of this. Ishant has done NOTHING and it is hurting our team carrying a seamer.

Can't wait till the indian hero returns!! Something to cheer us all up. Here is our Kerala Expressman doing the loser gesture to Ponting in world cup warm up match. "After beating the batsman with a magnificent short ball outside off stump, Michael Jackson fan Sreesanth went up for a massive appeal which was turned down, then theatrically stood face to face with Ponting at the batting crease. Words were exchanged, the crowd made a lot of appreciative noises, and Sreesanth walked away making an "L" sign with his thumb and forefinger, as if to signify he thought Ponting was a "Loser". He has made himself available for aus odi series and with the death of our bowlers, I think the twice world cup winning seamer will at least be in the squad!
