I would play: Hayden Hussey Ponting Clarke Hodge Symonds Gilchrist Lee Clark Hilfenhaus MacGill They will probably play: Hayden Jaques Ponting Clarke Hussey Symonds Gilchrist Lee Clark Tait MacGill
Who is hilfenaus? Macgill will be buffet bowling for us. He also is cr#p fielder and extends the tail. O for warne:haha: Tait is wild, Symonds un proven in tests, Clarke not yet the real deal and Jacques also totally un proven. Also Gilchrist and Hayden may be to old and playing 1 year to long. Is aussie domination over?

Aussie batting is still formidable though their stars are aeging just like ours- what we have to watch out is the predictable Aussie trap where they goad us into machismo and bowling 'short and fastish' and then clobber our pacers- pitch it up, get the ball to bend back into the rightie and Aussies will be in trouble. Ponting, Clarke (he is an extremely good player of spin, IMO) and Hussey are the main dangermen of this batting juggernaut. I HOPE they play McGill and Lee- some free runs would be welcome but we gotto be wary of Tait/hilfenhaus and clark- clark is a slightly diminished McGrath clone & India always bolloxes up against bowlers it faces for the first time/unknown bowlers so Tait should be treated with respect, not 'another newbie' syndrome. How many times has India been wrecked by 'another newbie' ? But this series is still far away and lets not even THINK about this one- India-Pakistan is up before this series and IMO, thats what we should be focussing on now- f*ck Aussie series for now.

Clarke not yet the real deal and
Do you mean Michael Clarke ? This kid killed India when Australia toured in 2004. Scored 150 on debut at Bangalore to power Australia to a commanding total and then came up big with two top class knocks at Nagpur which knocked the stuffing out of the Indian bowlers. He can play.

Ben Hilfenhaus opens the bowling for Tasmania. He's 24 and 1.86 m tall. Right arm fast medium. Mainly outswing. BHilf.jpg From 11 matches, he took 60 wickets @ 25.38 in last season's Pura Cup which Tasmania won for the first time.
