Shouldn't Dhoni also resign as test captain ?

Recommended Posts

There is no consistent performer in the test team. Pretty much everyone's spot is questionable except for a few newcomers. So who will you make the captain? Reward Sehwag/Gambhir for their marvelous contribution during 0-8? Make Kohli the captain even before he has even played 10 tests?

Maybe if Saha can "exude" more runs than 30s he would actually be in the team. Yup, and the guy who actually helped us get to a score of 290 is the one you want dropped :giggle:
 he has played 2 matches only.he averages 42 in fc.

That is not the truth. He is good handling spinners when conditions are spin friendly' date=' in India or anywhere else, but he is poor handling fast bowlers. Tactically, he is better than any captain we had in recent times even better than Ganguly.[/quote'] Ganguly handled spinners better against a top australian team and some of his tactics like promoting laxman and dravid keeping ,going for fast bowlers changed indian cricket

And Ganguly had a far superior team and yet we did nothing to show. While under Dhoni, we had been in top rankings + trophies.

Any captain with an iota of shame and self respect would have atleast quit captaincy after the 0-8 thrashing , Dhoni however is shameless beyond limits . Now he will lead the team to easy series wins against NZ and England , something that even SRT as a captain can achieve with the same team . After that will follow the real test in Sa , England where the Sub-continent Champ Dhoni will suddenly turn clueless and the likely result would be a whitewash again . For India to have any chance of doing well in Sa , England Dhoni should be expelled from test captaincy as soon as possible . It is certain that the results in Tests are going to be same with or without Dhoni as India isnt dependent on his captaincy or batting to win test matches . So whats the harm in going for a new captain as persisting with Dhoni helps no one but only him in securing easy wins ? I wont mind a whitewash again as long as its under a new captain who gets the chance instead of getting whitewashed under the same tried tested failure rubbish overseas captain like Dhoni .

How? Sachin, laxman, shewag in india, zak ,gambhir peaked from 2008-2011.In ganguly time sachin was struggling with injuries, laxman inconsistent ,no seamer .I think lack of a good seamer and opening batsman hampered ganguly.

Absolutely - people who think Gambhir' date=' Sehwag are better captains than Dhoni are not delusional. On the contrary, winning 1 ODI series against a decent side at home makes you captain for 5 years and then he changes the game. :giggle:[/quote'] Ind vs Aus 2001 test series.People who think dhoni is best man to lead india after 8-0 live in one.

Now, it clearly shows you are just spitting out garbage. I clearly mentioned ODI series. Anyways, Ganguly was allowed to continue due to the TINA factor, same applies for Dhoni too.

Works other way also - How can we know Dhoni will fail in the future without giving in another chance? Questions like these are entirely perspective based - glass half-empty, half-full. No point in arguing over it, if you have a better option name him else :secret:
