ravishingravi Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 This was some real butt kicking. Dinesh does hold himself well even while he is muttering the same cliched republican positions. In the end, it just got personal.
Silva Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 That was awkward to watch. The white guy had a personal grudge against the desi.
surajmal Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 D'souza is a hindu hating goan. There isn't a lick of desi in him. He has said some of the most vile things against Hindus (search youtube). I'm glad he got....[Edited - bad language].Guy has got a punchable face too that one would like to beat the **** out of and not feel an ounce of sympathy.

Dsouza is a lying huckster, no doubt.
Lurker Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Why do we only deliver chewtiya like him and Bobby Jindal on the National politics scene? Oh sorry and Nick Haley. Most Indians are more democrat supporter by nature but havent seen too many famous Indian-Democrats, and please dont mention Kal Penn.

His was an inspiring life story. A great quote of his is : "There is no room in the United States of America for second-class citizenship." Too bad his career was cut short by a debilitating stroke.

I did not know that. But where are the Indian Democrats today?? :hmmm::hmmm:
surajmal Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Most Indians are opportunistic *******s and only care for their bank accounts and immediate family (even that may be debatable). Why Bobby Jindal Wants to be White Bobby Jindal has a unique problem. He wants to be white. But because a full skin transplant is not a possibility, Jindal, the governor of Louisiana, AmericaÃÔ poorest state, has gone to great lengths to attain honorary white status. This he has achieved by becoming even more conservative than the lily white Republican Party. However, as a brown convert to ultra right wing Republicanism, Jindal, the son of Indian-born parents, feels he has to constantly reaffirm his hard-won white status. This he does by mouthing off Bible Belt inanities, which no doubt reassures his southern voters and party bosses that they made the right choice in picking him. HereÃÔ a quick quiz. If your mother is a nuclear physicist, your father is a civil engineer, and you have a biology degree from Brown University, what are the chances of you becoming a card carrying creationist? Answer: smaller than small. But if you are Bobby Jindal, then the equation changes. This sets up another Jindalism. Safer asks him if he was born űaiyoosh? Jindal (born Piyush) answers in the affirmative with a straight face, not bothering to correct the CBS journalist that the right way to pronounce his former name is Peeyoosh. But from where Jindal comes from, that would be like signing his death warrant. He wants Safer to quickly move away from his ethnicity; he doesn't venture into that territory any longer. And thatÃÔ typical Jindal. His jettisoning of his liberal Indian ethos and conversion to the redneck religion of rustbelt America at an extremely young age is a clear sign of a person who thinks far ahead and thinks with cold logic. Culture critic and opinion writer Jimi Izrael feels Jindal isnÃÕ an Indian American who just wants to be seen as an American; Jindal is an Indian American who wants to be white. Ŧmbracing difference makes white folks nervous: any brown person who aspires to assimilating will get high marks. He channels a certain brand of sincere self-loathing heretofore only seen in golf caddies and Larry Elder, he says. (Larry Elder is a black guy who trashes black guys and thinks heÃÔ white. He is the author of the book Stupid Black Men. Incidentally, like Jindal, he studied at Brown University.) http://indrus.in/articles/2012/06/14/why_bobby_jindal_wants_to_be_white_15979.html

seedhi Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Thanks for sharing that. I did not know that. But where are the Indian Democrats today?? :hmmm::hmmm:Around half a dozen Indian Americans contested the last Congressional elections, but they all lost in the anti-Obama wave. This time also around around the same number are contesting: Congressional hopefuls who remain in the scrap after a lengthy and expensive primary season include Democrats Upendra Chivukula from New Jersey, Ami Bera from California, Manan Trivedi from Pennsylvania, Syed Taj from Michigan, and Ricky Gill (Republican) from California. Another candidate, Tulsi Gabbard, who is a practicing Hindu but not of Indian origin, is considered a shoo-in for the House because she has fought her way through the primaries from a Democratic pocket borough in Hawaii. http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-08-22/us/33321504_1_indian-americans-ashok-mago-ami-bera

Texy Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Just found out about Tulsi Gabbard. She's a practicing Hindu(Vaishnav) but not of Indian origin. Her father is Samoan and mother is White but a practicing Hindu as well. She recently won the Democratic primary in Hawaii. She plans to visit Vrindavan soon.
