Aussies and their unique batting style

I have been a fan of Mark Waugh batting style and one thing always amazed me with his batting was as to how he was able to Square Cut a ball that was not even short and wide. I have seen playing him Square cut while ball being very closed to body he did it by bending his back which was an amazing skill. The same thing I noticed with Gilchrist , Hayden and now Warner they all are able to pull a ball which is not even short its near to good length by same technique bending their back. I haven't seen any other country batsman doing the same. Its amazing.....:hatsoff: Looking at the pull shot of Warner, Gilchrist is totally different from Raina, Yuvi, Virat. Dravid and Sachin will not even try to pull if the ball is not short they instead use their front foot.

They probably are very good at pulling due to the surfaces they grew up on. But square cutting i have seen better. Mostly from the west indies of old. One match i saw live, Stuart williams cut a ball. It was a blur for me. That was brutal. Typical calypso cricket.

Typical calypso cricket.[/quote'] WI Player were good in slogging and playing with their front foot towards mid wicket. English Players good in front foot drive specially cover drive. Indians were good in flick shot towards mid on. Now they are good in slogging towards mid wicket. SAfricans basically good in backfoot shot similar to Aussies. Pakistanis ummm forget it

^^^ Well we have some quality square drivers like Salim Malik Yousaf and Saeed Anwar. Aamir sohail was a brilliant back foot player and had plenty of success against WI and Aus. Now a days we have generation of mid wicket sloggers.

Agreed Salim Malik and Saeed Anwar had good square drive. But most of the players of Pakistan yesteryears had more or less very unorthodox kind of playing style, Miandad, Ijaz, now a days Umar ofcourse not to talk about Afridi, Razzaq. At best we cannot generalize your batsman for some specific technique except sloggers.
