adi B Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Team got raped beyond belief but kapttan did not much wrong - team wins and kaptaan is there to drive the delivery van for the cup!:hysterical: :hysterical:
Raghav_12 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Great! Dont blame me for saying the next part(you forced me) So the captain, who has won so much in 5 years what previously Indian cricket could not even achieve in 75 years of its history, is called the most pathetic ever. And dont get this ugly with the abuses. Keep this clean otherwise it might not be good for both of us. In 75 years nobody brought a humiliation of 0-8 upon us, not even close.
Raghav_12 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Interesting panel discussion on ABP news on India's defeat. Great panelists are Vinod Kambli and Manoj Prabhakar. Vinod Kambli is makingn mockery of Dhoni's comment that because of rain ball stopped spinning and so India lost.
Crookbond Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 First India scored below par score. They were always going to struggle to defend it. But I expected them to make things tough in once the ball gets old. Dhoni just screwed that chance by finishing Ashwin's bowling. He shouldn't have been used as defensive bowler with conditions not suiting him. I don't think it would've changed the result - new ball or old the pitch was greasy and the ball was coming on to the bat. If the new ball was given to other bowlers like Pathan in that case you would've argued otherwise - it is always positive in hindsight.
CG Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 That means we should play a batmen whose average stay on the pitch is 5 mins? yes if he scores more than dhoni does in 30 minutes.

If we had bowlers with pace ,it would have been difficult for batsman with ball skidding but we did not have one but even zak was looking good at 135k.
Crookbond Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 yes if he scores more than dhoni does in 30 minutes. Does he - are you sure?

I am not a fanboy you know it. Don't go on searching for scape goats.
The Outsider Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Does he - are you sure? No, but everyone scores at a strike rate greater than 110.

What scapegoat. As far cricket is concerned captain takes the most accolades for victory and brickbats for defeat .It will never change. Its so shocking dhoni has survived 2 t20 wc humiliations and 2 white washes this guy will make a great politician one day.
Crookbond Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 No' date=' but everyone scores at a strike rate greater than 110.[/quote'] 6 runs of 3 balls with SR of 200 and OUT :haha: Of all people you think Sehwag would've made the difference? Btw, I accept that Dhoni should not be in the T20 team - I am the one who started the "Is MS Dhoni's T20 Time Up" thread :cantstop:

Then I'm afraid CG - it is time to revisit this point if you are in for a mature/serious discussion. If not, I will avoid replying. It never works that way - Captain is always as good as his team.

Great captains like Benaud, Chapell have said that too. I am just repeating from what I have heard from the greats. Surely, there is "some" responsibility but not "all". For example, blame Dhoni for the bowling changes but to blame him for Harbhajan and co bowling full tosses is imbecile.

CG Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Australia play spin well? I mean much better than eng and historically there batsman have played well in sc.
