Ankeet Chavan was bowling to a field where 8 guys were on the off-side and the leg side was virtually unguarded. He pitched each and every ball on the same spot, got decent bounce and made the batsmen play at it. Either they managed to block, or they poked/got edges, or they were struck on the pads. The spectators could only sit square of the wicket, so the amount of turn he was getting wasn't very clear. The wicket was surely dry and breaking, but wasn't that kind of a dustbowl; in the first and the second session Bhajji struggled to get any purchase and they took more than an hour to get the last wicket. Also superb fielding by Mumbai for a change. They didn't miss a single chance. The Punjab batsmen were literally quaking in their boots except Karan Goel who looked technically solid and played some lovely shots.

It would be telecast ... so no questions required. :giggle: On a serious note, Ankeet Chavan is a guy to watch out for ... can bat decently, fields pretty well (only fielder of Mumbai who dives around), and he is really accurate with his fastish deliveries. He got 4 wickets against Bengal, but three catches were dropped off his bowling. I think he might be the 2nd-best SLA in the country now. Can be considered in the ODI team to partner Ashwin.
