Everyone knows it wont happen, gambhir will open despite his consistent low scores. I am praying that if he fails the first test, atleast then the selectors, captain and coach could muster up some balls to remove him.

VPS bowled at good pace, got bounce, but is lacking control right now. Sarakar used conditions well, bowled well within his limits. Oot of three, VPS is the only one who looks a prospect to me.

Not sure who'll be a better waterboy :dontknow: Eden has a wonderful pitch for seamers but the pitches against England would be roads. You'll have to see who's better on roads (not that they'll play anyway). And I'd still take unlucky boy over either of them, because he can bat a bit.

Not sure who'll be a better waterboy :dontknow: Eden has a wonderful pitch for seamers but the pitches against England would be roads. You'll have to see who's better on roads (not that they'll play anyway). And I'd still take unlucky boy over either of them, because he can bat a bit. :finger:

Try is nothing special and won't ever be anything special. :giggle: Good bowlers get into national team early, the Danda's keep topping domestic charts but have more matches played than wickets at the highest level. At least for bowlers, Ranji not even once. Good batters have been produced though. :nice: But for bowlers selection the ones like Ashwin who did well in IPL are the way to go. They have shown they can dismiss quality batsmen.
