Led by Dey's 243-ball 107, a day after S Abbas Ali's 121, Tripura made a spirited reply in response to Services' mammoth first-innings total of 563 for four declared. Services were seven for no loss in their second essay, when the fourth and final day's play ended at the Maharaja Bir Bikram College Stadium. Tripura got one point from the match. 11.55am MP bowled out Bengal's Shami Ahmed takes four wickets in the second innings as MP end on 233, setting Bengal a target of 277 in about two sessions. Shami finishes with 11 for 151 in the match, the best bowling figures of the season. That means the top three bowling figures for a match have come in this round: Shami, along with Punjab quick Sandeep Sharma's 10 for 82 against Saurashtra and Vinay Kumar's 10 for 89.

Kashmir-Jammu feud spills on to cricket field

Valley’s top players boycott Ranji match Six top players from the Kashmir Valley absented themselves from a Ranji Trophy match between Jammu and Kashmir and Andhra that concluded on Monday a bizarre development that is being attributed to regional feuds within the faction-hit team. J&K lost the match by an innings. Jammu and Kashmir captain Samiullah Beigh, Adil Rishi, Arshad Bhatt, Parvez Rassol, Aamir Aziz and Abid Nabi did not report for nets prior to the match, forcing the team to field all 11 players from the Jammu region. Rassol had compiled a fine 171 to help Jammu and Kashmir secure a draw against Goa, following an innings defeat against Jharkhand. Beigh had backed him with an unbeaten 57. Team officials, and State government officials, declined to respond to The HinduÃÔ questions.

2.45pm Baroda win! Thrilling scenes in Lahli as the last wicket pair of Utkarsh Patel and Bhargav Bhatt have added 25 to deny Haryana. The defeat keeps Haryana on 0 points after three rounds, while Baroda move up to the top of the table with Odisha, on 13 points. Bhargav Bhatt, who topped the Ranji Super League wicket charts two seasons ago, even had the nerve to hit a six with the match on the line. A tremendous day's cricket in Lahli, where 17 wickets went down in about two sessions. In the morning, I had suggested we could have outright results in four of the remaing matches, but hadn't counted on this.
