How can it be "racist" man? Please break it down for me.

Tony is a white South African guy.Windies r black people.in aparthied situation,blacks were treated very badly by whites,or in were made to grovel. Tony cited that,he intends to make the black WI people grovel the same way. he may not hv intended that,nobody knows,but it certainly came out as racist

Please provide relevant literature references. In this vein, any condescending statement by a white man can be termed as racist. A comment can me stupid and puerile but can not be racist.

The context in which the grovel comment was made was definitely racist. This was not a time when blacks and whites were treated equally in most parts of the world to be called plain banter. It was the apartheid era in SA and blacks were segregated and treated inferior to other races. Greig emphasized that feeling when he said he would make them grovel.
