Cricketics Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Gurab Purab night in Delhi used to be real fun back home. I am sure it would still be. All the food stalls in front of Gurudwaaras, free food is served and Very cleanly in most locations. Sikhs and the Punjabiz come out with KHULE DIL SE to celebrate this festival. How many of you enjoy this. It's such a fun atmosphere of Guru Purab. I miss eating Bread Pakodas and Chole Bhature from the stalls of Guru Purab.

Some people try to do thakka mukki to get free food, is also funny to see. People filling their plates and taking for their aunties at home :)
punjabi_khota Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Mere mummy papa ko sharm etc. aati thi free food khane mein. To mere ko bhej dete the. Main 10-15 minute seva kar ke 10 rotiyaan khaa jaata tha aur 10 ghar le aata tha for parents. Best Dal makhni ever.

The daal that I remember most vividly were often mixed lentils kind. That made it doubly sumptuous.
