Also know that McDermott works fo Ireland as a bowling coach. So what do you guys think....Being the richest cricketing board,don't you think we could have done a little better..? No matter what we say..impressed with the Coaching staff for England....atleast they are generating employment in these tough times right?

I would go with South Africa and England.... I mean if McDermott was still available...I would put Australia but I would say India and Australia are on par atleast on paper. As far as England overdoing it,I don't see anything in wrong in hiring as many resources available to them as long as there is money,simple Economic funda. I wonder why we couldn't get some big names to fill up some of the positions like some other teams could,with all the money we have available.

Thing is it is impossible to say from the outside what is or isn't necessary. e.g. England is the only team with the specialist spin bowling coach in Mushy. Plus they have split roles for analysts in Tests and ODIs. My first inclincation would be to have it as streamlined as possible. Who knows though? I guess you can add Ashley Giles to the England list. Can we imagine Donald working with Tahir? :haha:

Sports analyst (ODIs): Gemma Broad She is Stuart Broad's sister....so good chance she either didn't earn that role or the role was specifically created for her :winky:

Wow! England's digging deep big time. Aussies looks stable and Saffers need a spin bowling coach.

Just putting some more thought into this....I think Bangladesh appointing Saqlian as a bowling coach is a very smart move given their Spin heavy attack...Don't know how much thought was put behind this but....I mean look at the new off spinner they have...seems to be doing really well. Mushy has done a great job with the English spinners, McDermott did a great job with the Aussie seamers,Donald is doing pretty well so far and BCCI picks these nobodys as bowling coaches...hate me but I will say the best time we had with our fast bowling resources was when Venky was the bowling ocach...shows how important it is to have a decent coach with decent international credentials. Ashwin is one of the better Spin talents we have produced in recent times and just imagine how much he would benefit having a decent coach in his formative test career which so far has got to a good start.
