I will say it again it's a mistake to play likes of Rohit & Rahane in odis when they average mid 30s in List A cricket. We have likes of Kedar Jadhav, Pujara and Ishank Jaggi while averaging 50+ in List A cricket. Rahane and Rohit should get a run in Tests as that's the format in which they average 60 or thereabouts but getting them in shorter formats assumes longer format and odis are one and the same which is not true at all. I mean look at Kohli and Dhawan's List A record and you will see a parallel in the odi performances. Same thing is happening with Rohit & Rahane but our selectors are still hell bent on persevering with batsmen who aren't good enough in shorter formats when better odi/List A batsmen are available. If India wants to mount a serious challenge in Aus/NZ WC in 2015 it has to get Pujara at the top of the order to replace Rohit and Kedar Jadhav in at 4 in place of Rahane. Rayudu is not the answer as can be seen with a poor average of mid 30s in List A cricket just like Rohit & Rahane.

What I fear is they're going to keep persisting with Rohit even after he keeps failing overseas and Dhoni will insist on not replacing him till the end of the World Cup because it will be too late for anyone new to come in.
