karina
so an official complaint for ONE mistake? would they have complained had IND scored 250+ and won the series?? It was more like THREE mistakes - he also did not give 2 plumb lbws. I hope they mention that too. Link to comment
karina
.. Point is its about time someone did something about restoring level playing field. YES. As hussain said, umpires cannot be treated like gods anymore because it's ridiculous Link to comment
yoda
Yes. Aleem Dar has joined the long list of incompetent idiots who are called umpires. Link to comment
sandtest
The ball went through the gap between the bat and the body, I guess there was no deviation of the ball either. How can an umpire standing staright and in full view of the batsman miss it, it's difficult to believe. Two horrible decisions in quick succession of the best batsmen in the team has made it irrecoverable for India. Link to comment

Like someone mentioned, probably the bat hitting the pads. We absolutely need replay challenges. These guys aren't competent enough to distinguish between bat/pad and bat/ball. Link to comment
Chandan
Dravid said that he didn't nick it. But he didn't mention anything about filing a complaint against any umpire!!! ESPN team just had a long chat with him! Link to comment

Yoda, although I may agree with you, this is where suspicion goes stronger about this Aleem person. How we can say with confidence that Aleem mistaken it instead of bat-pad. Only Aleem knows it. These haramkhor umpires are in search of such close situations where they can conviniently come out innocent telling that ohhh it's human error you know -- I mistaken it instead of bat-pad. yes, video challenges are a must....we can't afford our top batsmen getting dismissed in suspicious manner like this in every third match. Anakin
SRT's snicko showed no sound!! Or did I miss anything Avi? There was some noise but obviously from the bat brushing the pad, the ball was still way in front of the bat at that time, and absolutely nothing when the ball went past the bat with good distance between them. Anakin
RD's snicko showed some noise and it probably was the ball just touching the back of his bat, his bat was not near his pads, and probably the reason why even he wasn't aware of the contact. Link to comment

I just have to go with incompetency unless there is evidence of intentional sabotage. Although I wouldn't put it past a Pakistani to fuk India's chances intentionally, we still need some evidence. jf1gp_1
why are they only going after Dar umpiring during the whole series was below avg. Link to comment
beetle
Agree with jf here... The management shouldn't turn this into a Dar thingyy...instead focus on the pathetic umpiring throughout the season. This is the time to raise a stink and try to get some technology in...... Link to comment
