Guest dada_rocks Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Utter BS(using your own words). Your pea sized brain fails to comprehend the fact that I am more of a reader and will post only if you make unwarranted innuendos in your poss . And I post my rebuttals once or twice ' date=' but you have this weird habit of repeating the same BS again and again and then challenging the posters after they are thorough because of sheer boredom.[/quote'] You never do, what was ur claim last time we had fracas here.. yes, I never castigate anythign which is wrong in hinduism and then u failed to substanatie it ... But the fact is I have been on record calling the book whihc perpetrates the caste-based crap as utter crap..... You always do this.......
Guest dada_rocks Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 ST, Why Lurker, an intellectual Indian like you should stand up to fact. If Pakistan is the greatest threat to India today, then we should not shy away from pointing that out -- instead I expect you will stand up and confront with the real issue of terrorism and it's covert supporters which has been bleeding us. And in the same line how many Bhaiyyas from UP-Bihar have left Mumbai?? despite so called Thackerays call for their extinction? Bro, I myself from UP, grew-up in Mumbai, let me accept the reality. We UPites and Biharis have flooded Mumbai, because, I feel ashamed to say that our own state can't provide us enough to earn livelihood -- blame it on corruption, babugiri, netagiri that's totally different discussion. Thackeray like people suddenly found that Nationalism cannot mobilize vote bank when Marathi people are loosing their bread and butter to "par-prantiya". So this became the core-philosophy. You develop cities like Patna, Gaya, Chapara, Baliya, Allahabad, Jaunpur, Azamgarh as industrial cities and creat enough opportunities so that UPites and Biharis have not to go anywhere like Marathis and then see how this regionalism dies it's natural death. The regionalism, IMHIO, is not the brainchild of Thackeray, rather it's reflection of feeling of majority Marathi people in Mumbai who felt as outsiders in their own birthplace. I have dwelled on this in detail in past.. Fact is India remains consternation of many langauge based regional monolyth.. whenever some from one part migrats in mass to another thereby overwhelming the very character of some part tempers will flow.... it has nothign to do with thackrey.. very fact that thackrey became a significant apolitical entity starting on that issue tells he had popular support or marathi manus in general.... Just to call thackrey blood-thirsty non-marathi hater for this is over-simplofication of the issue.. anyway point here was whether thackrey can be considered religious extremist in comparison to numerous parosi organization who blow things up here and there.. I consider him a saint in their comparison
Lurker Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Sandy saab. That whole economic development reminded me of that Amitabh Bacchan song from Lawaaris :D Chaar paise kya mile Kya mile bhai kya mile Khud ko samajh baithe khuda (so trueeeee) Woh khuda hi jaane ab hoga tera anjaam kya Kahe paise pe itna guroor kare hain Yehi paisa to apno se door kare hain Yeh paison se kya kya tum yahan khreedoge Dil khreedoge ya ke jaan khreedoge Bazaaron mein pyaar kahan bikta hai Dukaanon pe yaar kahan bikta hai Phool bik jaate hai Khushboo bikti nahi Jism bik jaate hain Rooh bikti nahi Chain bikta nahi Khwaab bikte nahi Dil ke armaan betaab bikte nahi Arre paise se kya kya tum yahan khreedoge Dil khreedoge ya ke jaan khreedoge :yay::yay::yay: Note to self - Need to dig this song on YouTube today! xxx
Guest dada_rocks Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 let us see what names come up...
kumble_rocks Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Equally bad as who ? Can you give me some names ? Shahi Imam , Zakir Naik etc. I don't even consider Taliban , al qeeda etc as human beings. These savages are beyond hope and must be executed by what ever means necessary. Let's cut the pedantry now ! Do you think Thackerey is equally bad , Yes or No ?
kumble_rocks Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 FYI Bheem , our good friend Ravi posted this on the other thread. See, if you are independent poster like Ravi , you would see the truth ! US of A, that is so concerned about providing democracy and freedom to the oppressed around the world aids Pakistan. What a farce? US of A demolished Iraq and Afgan in the name of WMD but Pakistan despite being ruled by a dictator that has heavy WMD is in fact helped by the US of A. It's pretty strange the way things work with USA.
Guest dada_rocks Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Shahi Imam ' date=' Zakir Naik etc. I don't even consider Taliban , al qeeda etc as human beings. Do you think Thackerey is equally bad , Yes or No ?[/quote'] He is not because issue thackrey took was bread/butter driven unlike the luminaries mentioned whose hatred comes from scripture endorsement, kind of eternal hatred. Precisely for this reason bread/butter issue disappeared thackreyt's regional hatred disappeared otoh there is no end in sight pf hatred from the other group ... my 0.00000000000000001 cent PS: it was pakistani nut vs thackrey and last time I checked Bukhari and naik was indian nut..

I dont think the first movement of Independence(Champaran) happened in Assam, it happened in Bihar! 2) Hey Punjabis where were you when Indira Gandhi put Emergency on India? Yeah sure today you say it is the darkest hour but why did only Bihar have to pay through JP movement? Why were students of Patna College slaughtered in streets of Patna and bodies dumped in Ganges? Why does Bihar have to pay so rest of the country kept its nose up? 3) Why are Indians so hell bent on saying Ashoka(or Magadha empire) was the best in the land. Reality check it was NOT an Indian king but a Magadha king..a Buddhist at that. yada yada yada.. Should I, as a Bihari, be allowed to ask those question which are anything but FACTS? xxxx

Such contribution, while to be appreciated, should not turn into what other states have not done. xxx

bigdhoni7 Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Ive never met a pakistani before in my life but i do find it a bit ridiculous, that just because some of you have had friendly encounters with a few of them, makes it seem that they don't have a problem with us. What would they gain by not being friendly? Nothing.

nikred Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Until now I have met only two Pakistanis. One was my friend's friend, so it was more like hi-bye type acquaintance. Then there was another one who was from my college a Phd. student while I was doing my masters. He is a very nice guy and frankly helped me a lot in one of the courses as he was also TA under the same professor. :D
