rkt.india
Aakash Chopra ✔ @cricketaakash Both Dhawal & Javed bowling at least a foot short..perhaps, waiting for the SG Test ball get a little old, for thats when it starts swinging Dhawal bowled similar in the final as well. Thakuar bowled full and got creamed. This is not England where you bowl full to move in the air. Here you get seam movement rather than swing. Link to comment
Cevno
Dhawan lucky there. Poor shot. Link to comment

NareshK
Mumbai doesnt have a good bowling attack. Decent seamers would have made the ball talk on this pitch. Link to comment
rkt.india
Mumbai doesnt have a good bowling attack. Decent seamers would have made the ball talk on this pitch. Its a flat. Track in the last match was helping seamers, not this, grass is just an illusion here because moisture is not there. I have seen several track at Wankhede which looks grassy and then when seamers bowl, there does not happen much like this one. Link to comment
Cevno
Even Nayar looks better than Thakur. Link to comment
Cevno
Other bowlers who are quicker need to learn from the length Nayar is bowling. Link to comment

Of course, as we approach towards March, the heat will be more and the pitch will get drier and there wont be moisture in the wicket to help seam bowling. But still, there is some swing but bowling is not good enough IMO. Link to comment

Even if you bowl just short of length, you should get movement if you hit the seam. Bowling too full, you dont get much movement on Indian pitches unless it has a lot of moisture which is not there. You dont get swing here by by bowling full but seam movement by hitting the seam. Thakur bowled fuller but got hit for runs. Link to comment

Similar to Nayar today. Link to comment

Similar to Nayar today. Thakur has very good seam and wrist. What are you talking about? He was just too full which does not work on these pitches. Short of length is what works in India unless you can move the new ball like PK and BK and plating in north India in cold weather, fuller length in England, Aus, and SA. Link to comment
Old guy
Good bowlers find length quickly on diff conditions.. Link to comment

HE just doesn't put any action on the ball. Yeah, you bowl shorter in India then in England/SA and the rest but Mumbai bowlers have been too short. They should be bowling in the good length region, while you bowl fuller of that in other countries. Link to comment
Cevno
Btw, ideal lengths for England, SA and Australia are different too. Australian pitches offer more bounce and seam movement compared to England where there is more swing. Link to comment
