Cevno
Pitches are diff but u have to bowl full to get wickets in both countries Stuart Clark and Glenn Mcgrath always bowled shorter in Aus than they did in England. Link to comment

In general u bowl bit fuller out side sub continent as bowl does something..in India if u bowl full u get hammered Now no one is saying u can't bowl in any other way just normally thats how pitches behave Link to comment
rkt.india
No he doesn't. HE just doesn't put any action on the ball. Yeah, you bowl shorter in India then in England/SA and the rest but Mumbai bowlers have been too short. They should be bowling in the good length region, while you bowl fuller of that in other countries. He tries to swing that is why like PK and BK as both are swing bowlers and release the ball rather than hit the deck. Link to comment
rkt.india
Btw' date=' ideal lengths for England, SA and Australia are different too. Australian pitches offer more bounce and seam movement compared to England where there is more swing.[/quote'] In England, SA, and Aus, bowlers need to bowl fuller to be effective. In England, bowlers get swing in the air while in Aus bounce even from fuller lengths that is why edges carry there. SA pitches offers both seam and bounce. Link to comment

PK has a great wrist action while delivering which swings the ball. BK has decent seam position and wrist action. Irfan had great seam position. Thakur has nothing of the sort really. Anyway, length also depends on the pace and height of the bowler. Dhawal is just too short and not that quick to bowl way short of length. He should bowl the length Nayar was bowling for a couple of overs i.e 4 to 6 metres. Thakur was trying to bowl fuller than that.. Link to comment
rkt.india
Stuart Clark and Glenn Mcgrath always bowled shorter in Aus than they did in England. Clark and McGrath were different bowlers, relied more on accuracy and consistency and extra bounce than swing and seam. I am not saying you cannot be successful by bowling differently but it is all about how you execute it. Link to comment

saneindian
Vijay again lucky, caught behind off a no ball by Thakur. Thakur is now bowling full and much tighter line, looks like picking another wicket or two. Link to comment
