Nothing specific to India.

One of my friends in an MNC IT company had asked one girl of the company out, just once and that resulted in matter being reported to HR and poor guy was pulled up badly by HR. Reading this, I think he should feel himself lucky that he got away with that much only. Was the guy in a position of authority over the girl, like boss, supervisor, senior? That might look like an issue.
