Not sure Dhawan has the technique to survive in those conditions. His feet doesnt move at all and he plays away from his body and plays one too many shots. You cant jump to conclusions but still, he doesnt give me the confidence he will do well against quality pace attack in helpful conditions.

We need bowlers to win matches' date=' no dustbowls there for Ashwin and other spinners.[/quote'] Zaheer Umesh B Kumar - gets lots of swing and will do well in SA Sreesanth - has done well in previous tours of SA Ashwin - has variations and a decent bat Shami Ahmed - could be a good option The problem is actually batsmen and how they cope with the swing and seam movement and against SA attack.

since when is Umesh, Ashwin etc a "senior" my definition of a senior is somebody who has played more than 30 tests. ATM i will say Sachin Dhoni While Gambhir might make it to the squad he still has to fight his way back into contention. That may very well happen. Sehwag and Zaheer i feel just wont make it. Zaheer is totally out of it and i think his time is up. Same with Ishant. I have no idea if he will be there.
