Ajit Agarkar -- How to get rid of him

I once again request all ICFer to mass mail, send your views to all leading news channels and newspapers exposing rampant nepotism/favoritism within BCCI. This guy is a clear example how BCCI pressurizes captain/team manager to include him in squad. The only dim hope to get rid of Agarkar is the BCCi receiving criticism through mass media, although chances are very weak considering "Powar" full board, hell bent on radical regionalization of Indian cricket management. Indian cricket followers have protest as only weapon, and let's use it in whatever way we can.

You fools need to look at Bond and Gillespie's figures. What cost India today was Yuvraj's trashy bowling. Besides, if anyone should be dropped it, it should be Sreesanth. Unlike Agarkar, he bleeds runs in every over
Yess, very correct, foolish Indians should look at Bond and Gillespie to justify living example of nepotism i.e. Ajit Agarkar. Sadly, this 'justification" came from an ICFer, although I expected such kind of politically correct arguements from BCCI babus like Vengcircus or some other Powar coteries. Alas, Bond and Gillespie were punished once in a while that too when batsmen like Sehwag, Gambhir etc. are in full flow. And then, tommorrow we might search and get another Pollock, Lee, Vaas to justify same good old Agarakar, or we make newbies like Sreesanths, RPs as scapegoats for much experienced and influential Agarkar....good show India!!:two_thumbs_up:

Nepotism ? The guy has over 250 ODI wickets. You are calling for Agarkar's head when 1) Strike bowlers from the opposing team did no better on this pitch and 2) He bowled better than 2 other Indians today

OK here is my no thrill conclusion (enlightenement) -- Against Pakis we have Afridi, Arafat etc. to justify Agarkar. Against NZs we are having Bonds, Gillespies to justift SAME Agrakar. Next against England, we will be having Broads, Flintoffs to justify same great , experienced, record holder of 250 plus wickets Agarkar. And then finally when we are out of the series we will come back cursing newbies like Sreesanths, RPs etc. Anyway,I still believe-- We have all necessary elements in our current team to get till Semis provided eliminate this "white" elephant called Agarkar and replace him with any damn spinner, who can at least bowl as instructed.

I don't know why you're so worked up over Agarkar, Sandtest:

So please tell me which pace bowler has done well, and why would you not get rid of Sree instead?

Predz, He should have been dropped based on his miserable performance in the match against Pakistan especially in his last over. Also, pray tell me , why is it that so many posters here are against this guy. Stats aside, I have neither a like or dislike for this guy , but time again he has faltered to deceive. The best way to utilize him in my opinion would be to play him every other match or so . He runs out of gas if played every match.

yes, he is trash. people like sreesanth have an upside. this is aggy's best. that is the difference. this game was lost because dhoni decided to continue with yuvi (pushing his luck) and bring back sree before finishing up irfan's 4 overs. irfan despite his 8 RPO bowled excellently his first 2 overs was very hard to hit.

yuvraj was given one over tooo many...but i was surprised to even see agarkar playing today. It doesnt matter how great you are, when someone with more than 10000 runs can be pulled up for bad performance, agarkar's 250 wickets dont mean a lot....i think he was decent at best.... I have seen agarkar bowl really well in death overs...but now its all length balls asking to be hit...his fielding has also dropped a notch....think he shouldnt be a part of this outfit.....
