Stuart Clark was a pace bowler (who typically have shorter shelf lives than batsmen) and debuted at 31. He had a good run of about 3-4 years and was then dropped. During the period he was in the side, he performed consistently. As long as they are not a liability in the field, and they have earnt the spot through domestic performances, then 30-33 is not too old.

Old guy Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 I have' date='many times.looked okay and scored runs most times[/quote'] look leve in test cricket is very high most of these guys will fail there he is very gritty but tht alone is not enough at test level .. our system is such if u just have very solid temperament u can score tons of runs on flat tracks and against ordinary bowlers but thts not good enough at test level also more the elegance I have never been convinced by his batting its hard to explain but its my opinion maybe u can give me links of some games where he did well?
