StatsRock Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Okay folks, if you look at my post count on the left, I'm very much a noob in this forum. I started watching cricket in 1983, and discovered this forum only in 2011. By then I had travelled the whole gamut of cricket forums, stocked cricket mini-libraries in my native home and current home, so I was less inclined to participate or read here, also contributing were the responsibilities of being a parent. Since the ease-of-posting factor is high on this forum, you really need to dig through haystacks to find great posts. Not that the forum lacks quality, far from it! It's just that a lot of folks post from their handphone, so naturally there wont be a lot of posts exceeding 20 lines. So as a noob, I'd like to know your picks for the best posts. Some criteria would be: 1. Posts strong on analysis, not abusing stats, but showing the ability to dig beneath the surface and reveal information that is not easily found from the scorecards. 2. A post that cleared your misconceptions about a player's ability. 3. A nomination like 'check XYZ's post on Lara' would be very unhelpful, especially if XYZ has made over 2000 posts. No need to post link and page number, just the poster name and title(if correctly remembered) would be useful. thanks!
StatsRock Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 I'm not out to self-promote here :D as most of my favorite matches happened when a lot of you guys were kids. But these 2 posts of mine gave me a lot of fun while doing the research before posting - I didn't post them off the top of my head but actually enjoyed the learning that came from the research. http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=2053417&postcount=73 http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showpost.php?p=2038486&postcount=47
