King Tendulkar
People used to think he was some kind of big hitter who was unique. However, this 20/20 WC has shown loads of other batters could have done what he did but just had the brains not to. As quick 30s mean jack in longer forms of the game. So many batters are smoking balls in to the crowd and getting scores with strike rates of 100 plus. Afridi has been out gunned by other batters in big hitting stakes. He has been exposed as nothing unique or special but just a brainless batter. Link to comment
zubinpepsi
wat an useless thread dsr.. Afridi has been brainless always..and everyone knows abt tht so nothing to be exposed of now.. Link to comment
Yuvraj4Captaincy
afridi is pure entertainment when he gets going. no 2 doubs on tht however he is not consistent and its hard to be with the way he bats and thats bad news for pakistan but his bowling is making it up for his lack of batting in 20/20. King Tendulkar
wat an useless thread dsr.. Afridi has been brainless always..and everyone knows abt tht so nothing to be exposed of now.. You cleary did not understand what I wrote. Not unusual for you to not comprehend things. He has been exposed as not being a big hitter of any uniqueness. As many world batsman have shown they can smash quick runs with sixes and big hitting. Just in longer form of game they choose not to do this as it is not recipe for consistent success. Link to comment
MundaPakistani
He is also exposing quite a few batsmen by being the leading wicket taker in the competition so far. Link to comment
King Tendulkar
talking about his batting here. He is not even the most explosive batsman in pak team. Link to comment
talksport
Yep, DSR..... I am quite amazed with the Power Hitting capabilities of several batsmen in the tournament....Its just that they chose not to in longer forms Link to comment
PaiN_KiLLeR
he might now have suceeded with the bat as much as pak fans would've expected him to, but he has been the best bowler in the tournament so far along with daniel vettori. A top player in this format without a doubt. Link to comment
Predator_05
You need skill to score runs in Twenty20. Afridi's example comfortably dispels the myth that the only batsmen who profit in Twenty20 are brainless sloggers. Link to comment

Mind you he is the highest mollah raker for his brain-dead behaviour so there is a deliberate method to his ratardness. Apparently to be brain-dead pays on that side of the border....:cantstop: Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
wat an useless thread dsr.. Afridi has been brainless always..and everyone knows abt tht so nothing to be exposed of now.. Part which got exposed was pakistanis claim noone else cud do what he does even if they attempted to be brain-dead ....... Pretending to be smart is difficult but anyone can be brain-dead that's what the OP established.. Link to comment
Lurker
What is the use of such pointless threads? It only makes ICF look like some Pak obsessed website. Who cares how Afridi fared as a bat? Pakistan has beaten SL and Australia, two WC finalists. I am sure every cricket fan should give them due credits for that. xx Link to comment
kumble_rocks
But got to admit , DSR is a crowd puller. His threads always have high volumes , a feat unmatched by any other poster. Link to comment
Guest dada_rocks
I wud say people sud stop remote controlling what sud be discussed and what not..It's cricket forum and afridi is a popular cricketer hence he is bound to be scrutinized. Link to comment
ali0786
I dont think it really matters how Afridi performs in 20-20 type of cricket..because he does the same thing in odi's anyway..comes out, slogs, and gets out Link to comment

Ram
Dsr is awesome ! His best was when we lost badly to England by 100 runs and he opened a thread saying that " we batted well. Only , all our well-timed shots went directly to the fielders.." :D Link to comment
The Outsider
Afridi is more of a bowling allrounder anyways in ODIs over the last few years. Link to comment
Ram
Its only a matter of time before Afridi connects a few.. Link to comment
