West Indies can stake claim for producing the maximum no. of candidates for an all time top 5 list. However the Aussies pip them by a narrow margin to top the list.

While Pakistan have produced some good batsmen, IMO they haven't produced anyone of the caliber of the batsmen I've named in my OP. They haven't produced a single batsmen in their history who would have a solid claim of making it to a top 10 best batsmen of all time list. The same can be said about Indian bowlers as well.

Were talking about true greats- top 20 of all time- Miandad alone of the paks would get in there. If that. England has a good shout- Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Hutton, Hammond, Barrington would be in an all time top 20 I would think Guys like Boycott, Compton, May, Cowdrey in a top 50ish

Depends also if we are talking quantity or quality Aussies have produced hatfuls of batsmen who were world class in their time, India have had a fair few too. England and WI have possibly more genuine greats.
