The Master
The reason why Kumble will always be considered a very ordinary bowler is because of the tripe he bowls in pressure situations. Just look at the tripe him and zaheer are bolwing Warne is great coz he puts pressure on the batsmen and hardly gives them any freebies like Kumble Really pathetic stuff from the Indians...firstly throwing away the batting advantage and then bowling utter garbage Link to comment
The Master
Re: The difference between warne and kumble our chut.iya bowlers are leaking runs at this rate SA will score 500 in no time and we will loose this test match. MARK MY WORDS WE WILL LOOSE THIS TEST. Link to comment

DesiChap
Re: The difference between warne and kumble SA bowling was even worse as we were 153/0. Good stuff to pick up a wkt by India :lmao: Link to comment
Dhondy
Re: The difference between warne and kumble I wouldn't even go as far as Warne. What worries me is that Kumble has been outbowled so far by a rookie spinner on a subcontinent type wicket. Link to comment

Don
Re: The difference between warne and kumble He has 14 wkts at 21 from 3 test matches. This is as overseas as it gets. Terrific performance from Kumble, so much for a home bully. Link to comment

jcricketer
Re: The difference between warne and kumble Guys, Why this fixation of comparing Kumble and Warne ... and that too looking at the current match ... both are brilliant bowlers and both have done amazing things in their careers. Australia have had awesome success against teams like SA and Pak because of Warne ... India has been near-invincible at home because of Kumble .... Kumble is a great bowler . Period. Particularly the pathetic crop of bowlers we have had since Kaps retired - there have been the Sreenaths and Prasads, but none have dominated opposition batsmen in home series' like Kumble. Lets enjoy greats like Kumble, Warne, Murali, Sachin, Lara rather than comparing and belittling their magnificent careers ... Just a humble point of view ... And in true Indian Cricket Fan Tradition - fingers crossed on winning this one! Link to comment
King
Re: The difference between warne and kumble Some can't appreciate their own. If there is one man Indians need to be forever indebted to and never question his credentials it is "Anil Kumble". You can fault Tendulkar, Rahul, Ganguly or even Gavaskar but not this fella. It is firstly stupid to expect him to take 5 wickets every inning and neither does Warnie. As someone pointed out above Kumble has 14 wickets at 21 from 3 test matches and the first two test matches it was hardly assisting the spinners. I wouldn't even go as far as Warne. What worries me is that Kumble has been outbowled so far by a rookie spinner on a subcontinent type wicket. Dhondy what's happened to you man? You are questioning each and every one's ability these days based on a day's return. You know the fortunes change in no time and you are undermining someone that is 4th highest wicket taker as well as the biggest match winner India has ever seen. Link to comment
