Everybody who expects some sort of genocide is just being paranoid. No politician since Rajiv Gandhi has won a majority. Modi will rule in a coalition with other partners who will bolt at the first sign of any kind of anti-Muslim thing. He will also be under enormous international pressure. As much as it hurts me to say this because I am a leftist at heart but Congress has been a disaster. They have been in power for 55 out of the past 65 years and India is a mess. I wish we had a good left wing party but there is no other alternative. India right now needs to move past petty parochial things and focus on development. Modi is the right man for the job.

While when I see my homeland Pakistan, then I see only black every where. Left wing in Pakistan is either disappearing, or they are corrupt like PPP. Unfortunately, there is no Leftist Party with vision in Pakistan, which could face the religious extremism. In India, religious extremism is not even 5% so extreme like in Pakistan. But small things could turn the tide very quickly.

BJP and its supporters will have to stop petty politics and searching for conspiracy in every thing Italian. And Congress/Leftist will have to be mature enough to say , yes Modi has done good work but our government will do much better and have to ask their respective CM to do better work than him. The only way to stop modi is do better than him, he will automatically vanish. The day would be not far when subcontinent will be all powerful and prosperous we need just one initiative and few good leaders.
