I'd prefer Ashwin continue this way than go the way of Irfan Pathan. I just hope he performs overseas aswell.

TBH he never looked good against spinners... plays pace well and due to his height can pull the ball easily.. even in the england series he struggled against monty but played anderson easily He will be a handy batsman in SA conditions..

He was decent in Australia. Scored more than GG and Viru up the order.

For me Ashwin's batting does matter. Dont think India can afford to play both jadeja and ashwin overseas. So who do you pick among the two? it may not matter in india but away to england sa aus and nz it will matter imo

i still feel we need five bowlers. play Jadeja and Ashwin both overseas along with 3 seamers. Lower order of Jaddu, AShwin Bhuvi need to step to give us 60-70 runs minimum each time

i would rather we play a extra batsman. Somebody like Tiwary or some batsman who does well on the A tour in July. As things stand we will be mostly carrying a deadwood sachin. These bit and pieces players will not stand upto the Saffer attack.
