Actually, Kohra ki sabzi ko "Babhan" (Brahmins) ki priya sabzi maana jaata hai UP mein. Isko Aloo ke saath banaa ke parosatey hain kisi ke "terahi" mein:D:D (when person dies after his 13 day morning there is Big get together of all nearby village people):D When Brahmin eats "Kohra" sabzi and takes "Dhakaar" it is considered that dead persons soul is freed. Also poori and either "katahal" ki sabzi or Kohra ki sabzi is eaten on any special happy occasion in our village. We eat Namkeen sabzi fried with Rai and some spices like "Kohdauri". etc.
