In regards to your question, here is the relevant picture again: The plank represents the actual border that cuts the Korean peninsula in the northern and southern halves, the gravel represents the southern half, the sand represents the northern half. In the southern half, about the cross the line and go into the northern half. I was able to do this as the blue building I was in, it was purposefully built such that it is half in North Korea and half in South Korea. Brilliant. Want Moar! Moar stuff added. Although all major towns look similar in the night they are still different and Seoul is a prime example. Almost unbeleivable that such a city exists not too far from us. By the by whats with having a diss at not properly "travelling" to N Korea?? This is still lot more than any of us have travelled. Looks like a fascinating trip to me.:two_thumbs_up:

Looks like a fascinating trip to me. More than the city, it is the people that deserve the most recognition. The amount of compassion and care they show towards each other, let alone foreigners, is something to behold. In my case, I have absolutely no contacts in Korea, do not speak a word of Korean and I am going to Korea by myself for the very first time. Despite all these language and cultural barriers, I was able to successfully navigate around Seoul by myself. Also managed to find a nice Indian restaurant that serves the most authentic Indian food over. Below is a traditional North Indian thali I ordered for one person, ended up being big enough to feed three: They didn't really cheap skate out on the food portions, did they? Rice, two curries, naan, chutney, grilled pieces of tandoori chicken and mango lassi to boot. All for a grand total of 12, 000 Won (approximately 10 dollars), it is definitely value for money. The surprises just keep coming.

The surprises just keep coming. That is a pretty sumptuous deal for $10. The naan in particular looks delicious. PS: Looks like mango lassi is sold all over the world, except India :giggle::giggle:
