Delhi Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport has been named the world’s second best airport

I just posted the rankings from the website "without any change" so I think the zeal to discredit should go to Airport Council International and World Airport Airwards. I myself have traveled through Delhi (domestic and international) many a time and I would agree that T3 is the best in India. Best in the world is a long way to go forget Asia if you have seen airports like Seoul, Changi and HK/Beijing. Unfortunately, two independent sets of rankings (the same international community you talk about) agree with my assessment. There is no zeal to "discredit Delhi", if it was - I wouldn't have said it has the best metro in India, best roads from all cities and overall best infrastructure in India which I still maintain. But I guess making numbers out of of nowhere and shouting on top of the voice makes it the best. If you can't take criticism and perspective, I don't think a public message board forum is a good place to post any view point - personal opinion.

I have no problem with your opinion. In fact no where I have claimed that you are trying to miscontrue facts or twist statements. Even without any of these discussions I would have laughed at the suggestion of Delhi being second best in world, having seen most of the east asian airports. I was just taking note of efforts that you made to validate claims of this ranking. If all these efforts were driven solely by your thirst for truth , hats off to you.:hatsoff:. but not many in this thread believed that notion.

Unfortunately, it came out otherwise and I won't be the only one here to think that.

not in the past two years. in any other country' date=' he would be kicked out just like how steve waugh and ricky ponting were[/quote'] you may have forgotten 24 years of outstanding cricket because of a few bad series' but a lot of fans haven't. Besides, he's the best ever - not the best in the last 2 years or last 5 years or last 10 years etc. The best. Ever. People generally don't forget such players.

Stop making a straw man. I was talking about roads when I said that - you very well know what I'm talking about. Also, Did I disagree that Delhi has the best modern subway OR did I disagree that Delhi has the best roads? NO. There is no anti-Delhi sentiment here. Stop behaving like the typical pompous Dilli Boy. Open up the CWG allotment funds and check where most money has gone into developing the "infrastructure" and you will realize why I made that comment. If you don't agree fine; you win. And yes - Mumbai trains are sh!t if that makes you want to jack off to that but in that same standard Delhi autos/taxis are sh!t. Please FFS stop turning this into a South vs North argument - it is NOT. FYI - Delhi is one of the most polluted cities (at least of 2009 or so). India is also the most polluted countries in the world.
You have not seen the Delhi of 90s - pre CNG.... even if its still one of the top polluted city, the improvement post-CNG has been commendable. And you have to consider it is still work in progress. P.S. Also - one must also appreciate the way Delhi metro (and also flyovers on ring road) was laid out with minimal disruption to existing traffic ( esp in extremely crowded areas of Old Delhi) - with all the corruption and stuff. For comparison - ask any Bangalorean - how is the scene like, whenever they want to build even a single flyover.
