Should ICC follow common sense?

What if the match was do or die and it didn't rain for the whole day? you're changing the tourney game play completely.

There was ample evidence it is going to rain yesterday and today. Should they have used their brain and made it 25/20 over match?
Is this even a real question....why would they change the whole format of a game just because one game is rained off...that would make everyone icc,ecb,the organizers everyone look inefficient

No. That's a bad idea.

if they had followed common sense then they wouldn't have scheduled the tournament in England in this weather.
they only follow monetary sense in dividing the big tournaments amongst all the big countries.

The more common sense should have been used yesterday after we had a 30-minute long innings break despite multiple long delays during the innings.
To top it off they even had national anthems after so much delay which could've easily been done a lot earlier or avoided it altogether. :facepalm:
