Pujara for me, by far the most complete batsman in India/World cricket who will do well in all formats, conditions and oppositions. Kohli still has a lot to prove in test

but just bcos its away does not automatically make it a better inning mumbai inning of pujara was top class and his inning while chasing in delhi was another gem.. to me he is on different level and he did not had any luxury of batting under stable batting order.. root is being groomed nad pujara is back bone of our batting to me that responsibility alone makes pujara a better player than any other youngsters in this list/ but i do see lots of potential in root he can be next cook but he can also be next bell :--D

Root has played in more variety of conditions than Pujara. It isn't Pujaras fault but isn't Root's either. He has played well both at home AND away ( not just away). In addition, he's done quite well in ODIs too. Hence, I will go for him as of now. Pujara's time will come.

How is someone like Kohli who has played over 100 ODI's and 18 test matches, is almost 25 a 'young batsman'. This is like putting Finn or Broad in a 'best young bowlers' catergory. Yeah, they're both 22 and 26 respectively, but they've already established themselves. I think this should be batsman who have just recently emerged, yet to fully place themselves in world cricket but is putting up a great start. Pujara, Root, Williamson etc.
