MCcricket Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Ishant , Vinay need to go, Pankaj and Suyal need to come in asap, our pace attack is weak and Ishant is horrible.
Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Brings lot more than just batting. Best fielder' date=' can slip in with useful overs, very chirpy on the field.[/quote'] DK is a good fielder too.and can allow Dhoni to bowl in those conditions:--D main thing is batting and Raina is way 'short' for the conditions
Sachin=GOD Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Raina has been among the best finishers in the game for a few years now and some people want him to be dropped
Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Raina has been among the best finishers in the game for a few years now and some people want him to be dropped  only for foreign land.hes awesome in SC though :--D
Sidhoni Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 DK is a good fielder too.and can allow Dhoni to bowl in those conditions:--D main thing is batting and Raina is way 'short' for the conditions That indeed is a plus point :D But Raina has been one of the best LOI players for us. No sense in dropping him.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Shami/Mohit in Ishant's place Gambhir in Vijay's place Yuvi in Karthik's place (Maybe not ASAP but surely in the long run looking ahead at 2015 WC) Rahane in Rohit's place (Same as above) Yuvi and Karthikh should both be in the squad IMO. you still want to drop Rohit after he exceeded all expectations here and gave a solid start with Dhawan in almost all matches!!!! he has done well in opening and he will do well at this position if given more chances.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 only for foreign land.hes awesome in SC though :--D :headshake: Raina is among our best ODI players in the last 4-5 years - selectors/Dhoni won't even think about dropping him.
Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 :headshake: Raina is among our best ODI players in the last 4-5 years - selectors/Dhoni won't even think about dropping him. hes best in SC yes but in Aus/SA/Eng he usually struggles.would be huge gamble if he is in WC squad in Australia.DK is much safer bet imo
Cricashfaq Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 We won thats great but still there are few players who shouldn't be part of this team. Dinesh Karthik : Didn't do anything extra ordinary in this CT other than 1 50. Played very well in warm ups but failed in real matches. Ishant 'unlucky went lucky for 1 over' Sharma : No comments. Murali Vijay : Doesn't deserve to be in team Don't know what has he done in ODI's. Amit Mishra : Uncle jee is another domestic bully. Will wait and see how he performs in West Indies if dhoni decides to play him instead of ashwin. Guys i want to see as their replacements Mohit Sharma, Pujara and Gambhir. Whats your opinion? Dinesh Karthik didnt get many chances during the group games as the opening partnership was solid. Amit Mishra deserves a chance ISHANT SHARMA ":((" be replaced by Mohit Sharma MURALI VIJAY REALLY NEEDS TO BE OUT OF THE TEAM AND SHOULD BE REPLACED BY Yuvraj Singh or Pujara
Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Yuvi and Karthikh should both be in the squad IMO. you still want to drop Rohit after he exceeded all expectations here and gave a solid start with Dhawan in almost all matches!!!! he has done well in opening and he will do well at this position if given more chances. he exceeded expectations only because none from him seeing his career he had a decent CT at best.no way has he turned the corner yet or secured his place
Sachin=GOD Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 hes best in SC yes but in Aus/SA/Eng he usually struggles.would be huge gamble if he is in WC squad in Australia.DK is much safer bet imo Oh....you are discussing for the 2015 WC...abhi kitna time baaki hai aur yahan log squad decide kar rahe hai

Read carefully man. I said not ASAP, but in the long run if he continues to throw away such starts. Batted well in first 2 matches, but thats it. The way he was out in the SF was ridiculous and even in yesterday though the ball nipped back sharply, his feet were nowhere. He should be given more chances but he still doesn't has a permanent place in the team.
Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Oh....you are discussing for the 2015 WC...abhi kitna time baaki hai aur yahan log squad decide kar rahe hai pehle se planning karni padti hai:--D
Sidhoni Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 hes best in SC yes but in Aus/SA/Eng he usually struggles.would be huge gamble if he is in WC squad in Australia.DK is much safer bet imo He was second highest run getter last time around in England behind MSD. Hasn't played much in SA but he has played well against South African bowlers in other conditions.
Sachin=GOD Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 he exceeded expectations only because none from him seeing his career he had a decent CT at best.no way has he turned the corner yet or secured his place so most people did not have any expectations from him but he had a decent tournament and provided a very good opening partnership in 4 out of 5 matches so now you want to encourage him by dropping him from the side? You have to remember that this was the first time he was opening in ODIs - and that too in such an important tournament in England so if he has exceeded expectations (however low those expectations might have been) then the way forward should be to give him more chances in opening and that is what I expect will happen.

Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 He was second highest run getter last time around in England behind MSD. Hasn't played much in SA but he has played well against South African bowlers in other conditions. he averaged 40 in England last time IIRC.and those werent typical English pitches and hes played just one less match in SA and 2 less in Aus. point is he struggles against bounce and with 2 bouncer rule now,hes a huge risk in Australia
Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 agley 2 haftey mein cricket mein kya hoga yeh toh pata nahi hai aur yeh chale 2 saal baad ki planning karne :giggle: failing to plan is planning to fail :beee:

Even Lungans tried to bowl short but at heir pace he can smoke them easily. Just because of one weakness, you can;t drop one of the finest players.
