Crookbond Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 ^ At any given point of time there are millions of idiots on the Internet. ICF can't go around taking them seriously. That said, this news may or may not have been sponsored by APCO - who knows with the current state of Indian paid media?
bulbul Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 The "attack" was based on perceived discrimination presented in the article. The question should have been raised on the veracity of the news report (not on the number if I'm right) and I am guilty of getting fooled into it as well. I can't believe I took news from TOI-let paper that seriously! Wont you agree 'perceiving' is the biggest problem in ICF right now :winky:
urbestfriend Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 ^ At any given point of time there are millions of idiots on the Internet. ICF can't go around taking them seriously. That said' date=' this news may or may not have been sponsored by APCO - who knows with the current state of Indian paid media?[/quote'] Most probably, tone of the article suggests it is sponsored. If this is true, sad reflection of Paid media pushing paid news as genuine.
FischerTal Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Most probably' date=' tone of the article suggests it is sponsored. If this is true, sad reflection of Paid media pushing paid news as genuine.[/quote'] errmm if its sponsored, why would article give such a big number of 15,000? I mean if you are a PR agency, naturally you have the brains to use propaganda, which will enhance the prestige of the person that is paying you. Coming up with an absurd figure like 15,000 serves no purpose, as the agency knows that it will be scrutinized heavily by the public and thus, could have opposite effect of what they were hoping for.
urbestfriend Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Yeah, That number seems absurd but I dont think any journalist could write such an article which seems to be full of hype and less of facts. ALso this blog on TOI suggests that article was sponsored. :hysterical: TOIlet has no shame in accepting that they are corrupt.
