FischerTal Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I figure it has to be watchful first 6-8 overs. However, after that I think positive intent should be shown and a couple of singles picked up. If you look at the Padosi struggles earlier this year, they were completely frozen even when the ball had become old even against a trundler like Philander. I have my doubts about how Shikhar will do in the first 10 overs. the Mohali approach is not gonna work and also in England, we saw that he wasnt comfortable with bodyline short balls. TBH, I dont have that much hope in Vijay either. During the Mohali test, when Starc began to reverse swing the ball, he looked absolutely clueless. He didnt want to move his feet at all and went into a shell. Our openers need to give atleast a 50 run partnership for the middle order. If you were the batting coach of India, what advice would you give to our batsmen to tackle the South African bowlers? Your inputs would be appreciated :icflove:
