bulbul Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Bhubaneswar: Troubles seem to be brewing for Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who might have to soon face embarrassing questions over his alleged links to a financial fraudster, who duped thousands of investors in the state through fraudulent chit fund schemes. Prashant Dash, the CMD of the Seashore Group, is currently behind the bars. He is accused of duping 1.5 lakh investors of Rs 1700 crore. In fact, Dash and his company were in the list which named over 12 fraudulent chit fund firms operating in the state. The list was prepared by the Odisha Crime Branch in September 2009 and as Patnaik is Odisha's Home Minister also, he would have been aware of the list. But despite that the Chief Minister allegedly ignored the report for four years. In 2011, Patnaik even inaugurated a news channel owned by Dash.
