The Outsider Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Of course it can not be. Rather than saying "Hey look here is a system that is 95% better than the umpires" it would be wise to say "Hey look here is a system that helps the umpires achieve close to 99% accuracy". All technologies have to work "with humans" and not "for humans". That's the essential point I am trying to convey - you cannot blame the system for it's incorrect implementation. Teams need to be more responsible while using it. The problem I have in this case is that people talking about DRS etc. when it goes against them. They're fine when they are the benefactors of this flawed process. Your generalization might be true, but I have never had an inconsistent stance on DRS.

Your generalization might be true, but I have never had an inconsistent stance on DRS. This was not for you. :two_thumbs_up:

Putting it exclusively into the umpire's bucket will lead to too much of wasted time.
bulbul Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Putting it exclusively into the umpire's bucket will lead to too much of wasted time. At least in test matches time won't be a constraint. Also they can use DRS in a dramatic way , show in big screen inside stadium so people can get some extra view.
