i think he should play his natural game. If the ball is there to be hit then go for it. the pitch is still decent to bat on. not great but not bad either. GG needs to aim for a 50 and then really go for his shots.

They will first build a platform. Looking at the Essex batting line up Tendo Shah and Napier are all massive hitters for them in the T20. These guys will probably be promoted. The platform should be around 100 and a lead of 246. From then if its 1/2 wickets down its going to be all out attack IMO. So GG has a chance to get to a 50 before he is told to go for it. Nothamptonshire the rival of Essex for the second promotion spot are winning at the moment. So Essex will have to win this is they are to keep up with them on the points table.
