Ex Cricketers World Cup - How is the idea?

We have U19 World cup, U23 cricket tournament going on currently, Womens world cup etc. I think it will be a great Idea to have an 'ex cricketers World Cup' where all the leading players who have retired from the game or the players who are not currently in the national side can feature. This will give the fans an oppurtunity to see their heroes once again in a cricket field. Another Sachin vs Mcgrath, Sachin vs Akhtar, Murali vs Lara etc. will be mouth watering prospect for the fans. I think this tournament should be scheduled once in every 2 years. :two_thumbs_up:

They had a World Masters Cup in Mumbai in 1995 with only those players who were 35+ allowed to be a 'Master'. IIRC WI won the tournament beating us in the final.

U'19 World cup is also amature cricket. If we can watch a sport played by a bunch of juvenile cricketers why cant we watch the tried and tested bunch? When I say retired cricketers, I meant recently retired ones like Sachin, Hayden, Murali etc. Ofcourse they will not be that slow. I am not asking Gavaskar to come and play for India :phehehe:
