http://stats.espncricinfo.com/zimbabwe/engine/team/9.html?class=1;filter=advanced;opposition=1;opposition=2;opposition=3;opposition=4;opposition=5;opposition=6;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=start;result=1;template=results;type=team;view=results First 4 victories the team was 8-9 players white and 2-3 black players Todays victory, 2 white players and 9 black players...... This may sound crude, but are we getting to see Zim finally producing good cricketers from local black communities? In that match they won Taylor played a good hand with 78 runs in two innings. However the bowling and fielding was fantastic and all black. In the first test with no Taylor they performed admirably? Dare i say with some financial backing we might be seeing an all black Zim team competing at the same level of Nz and WI? a lot of the guys in todays win are pretty young. Its the same with South Africa. After years of quotas, they are producing players from the coloured (Prince Duminy Philander and potentially Hendricks) and asian community (Amla). Players who can be good solid international cricketers.

i wont mind a full series in zimbabwe next year it will provide them money too i guess add in 1-2 t20s i know these a re lots of matches against minnows but it might help them survive and anything is better than sri lanka :P

the issue is not particularly money sabby. Problem is that the money going to the board rarely reaches the players. It might be better if the IPL teams induct a few of these Zim players. That way the money directly goes into their pocket. I do believe every full member of the ICC gets about $10 million a year from the ICC. Enough to pay your best 22 players about $100k a year.

+1000000 Zimboks have a promising set of quicks who need exposure at the top level. Beating minnows like Pakistan is a good start though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

they have a few planned v Sl. I wont mind if the BCCI calls Zim cricket over for a tour of India. Pays the players $50,000 each for touring.
